Disability Services 

The University of California Merced is committed to ensuring equal academic opportunities and inclusion for students with disabilities based on the principles of independent living, accessible universal design and diversity. An integral part of this commitment is the coordination of effective academic access support services and other resources through the Disability Services Center (DSC).

The philosophy and mission of the DSC is to promote the self-independence and full participation in campus life by and for students with disabilities. DSC staff are readily accessible to answer questions that prospective students may have about services for students with disabilities. The DSC staff are ready to act as a campus resource and provide information to faculty on working with students with disabilities in pursuing and achieving their respective academic goals and other campus program opportunities.
